People are similar to their neighbors usually. Slavic is a lingustic term. We are similar to Bulgarians mostly. If slavic means NE europe them not so much really...if u mean bulgaria and serbia then yes, definitely

Romanians aren't linguistically or culturally, but like all Balkanites including even Greeks, they have some Slavic blood.

If you didn't have Slavic admix, you wouldn't cluster near Serbs and Bosnians.

I dont really know what slavic means..NE admixture? Yeah sure but i never get on gedmatch poland, belarus or russia in my top 20 ever. I get balkan countries first, italy after and then it depends...i get eather tatar, iberian, turkish or Ashkenazim on the last places...never NE europe but sure...we do have some admixture no doubt...

It is cool how Romanians score significantly more Italian compared to their neighbours, I guess Romance language did not arrive from thin air

I mean there is obviously some Roman colonist blood from Italy in Romanians, not only Romanised Dacians.
Seya is not the first Romanian I have seen scoring high Italian admixture...

    latinized dacians

and the dacians themselves where thought to be very close to illyrians

they continued to speak a the "Roman" language because of the carpathian mountain range that gave them possibilty to protect themselves from successive invasion from the east, and the danube protecting them on the south.
