How proud are Europeans to identify as Europeans?

Are you guys proud to call yourself a European? Why/why not?

Since we get to see wonderful displays of non-European 'culture' every day, it makes me feel less connected to other parts of the world. What have any of us in common with people such as these? (see below)

Proud to be German and Christian

I have no real european identity, I got 0 in common with a guy in Romania or Belarus, culturaly,historically,ethnicly or development wise.

Pan-European idea is toxic to me.

I differentiate between Europe and the EU to be honest, one is a group of somewhat related people, whom I feel a certain fondness towards, and the other an incompetent bureaucracy, which I hate.

That said, I wouldn't really say I felt pride to be in the continent, more of a sense of admiration for certain countires such as Spain, Italy, Germany and France.

I can't really have pride in some other country that I have not personally contributed to in anything, one should have pride in their own contributions towards their nation and their efforts to maintain what their ancestors built.

Great point and I certainly dont want to share a country in the future like the United States of Europe with people I feel no connection with.

We gotta simply accept the fact that we westerners would work and pay taxes for less developed regions.

my nationality comes first , some other italian may also put regional identity before nationality

and yes as said before let's not confuse the EU with Europe
