what is your opinion of mixing among ethnic-European groups?

For example Latin and Celtic, or Greek and Slavic, etc. Is it okay?

I have always been very strict about this, wanting to date only Polish girls, but now I've grown more open to dating other Slavs, Balts, and even Celto-Germanics. Here in America I think it's okay as long as both people are White and have a similar sub-racial background. I don't think it's a good idea for there to be too much ethnic mixing among different culturo-linguistic groups in Europe though, because it only weakens each group. That is the last thing we need with the reality we currently face. What are your thoughts?

An interesting question. As a product of mixed european heritage, I feel I would be a bit of a hypocrite if I said I was against european-intermixing.
Given that I am half polish, and quarter french canadian and grew up in Quebec, I am perhaps more inclined to be with someone of ether or both backgrounds.
However, I am definitly not personally against mixing with people of any european background. Perhaps this is my own selfishness being reflected, but if I were to have kids, I would like to see myself in them (physically at least), so I wouldnt exactly go out looking for a non-european, or even someone who looked radically different from me (generally speaking and of course given gender-based appearance differences).

I think it is also alot easier for european cultures to be assimilated within each other. For instance, its alot easier for lets say a spanish or italian family to eventually blend into the local population of say france, then a pakistani after only one generation for example. Going on the different phenotypes present in many european countries, I think it is a bit late to try and create a hyper-homogenous state...which probably wouldnt go over well with many generations of inbreeding.

So in short, I'm a yes for mixed europeans.

If possible, I would like to stick with Germanics only and honor my ancestors blood lines. However, with all the interracial miscegenation going on, mixing with other European groups still seems like a worthwhile endeavor.

Germanic>Celt>Slav - At the very most, I would try to draw the line here.

A Germanic mixing with a Hellenic or Med for example is not suitable to my liking. There are just too many inter-ethnic differences.

I guess there are various considerations, some groups being more or less related, yet personally when it comes to opposite sex I take what I want in principle and anyone having problem with that is free to bring it up to me always in 4 eyes and provided he is left standing might have his way obviously.

I'd rather stick to my own ethnic group. My family would rather see me do the same as well.

Generally, I would want someone in the same socioeconomic class as I am and the same level of education. These things are more important for relatedness in today's world, than ethnicity. A middle-class Graduate student from England will probably get along much better with a middle-class Graduate student from Serbia, than with a blue-collar English worker.

An Estonian mixing with a Finn isn't a problem, as we are very similar. But an Estonian mixing with some kind of Russian from the coast of the Black sea is just sad to watch.

I'm not a Nordicist or such, I believe that all Europeans are equal, but I would still prefer for Estonians to look like Northern-Europeans/Estonians in 100 years, not like the Russians.
