Default Are ethnic Russians and ethnic Poles genetically indistinguishable?

Are ethnic Russians and Poles genetically indistinguishable (basically the same)? By ethnic Russians I mean Slavic populations of Russia including areas of Voronezh, Kursk, Bryansk, Oryol, Tula, Lipetsk, Volgograd, Ryazan etc.

My LM genetics results by Lukasz are very Russian/Belarusian:

    https://fusiontables.googleuserconte...mplt=2&hml=KML

All my known ancestors are from Southern Poland near the city of Cracow. I don't know about any Eastern influence in my ancestry. Therefore I really wonder if there is any difference genetically betwen ethnic Poles and ethnic Russians.

What is your opinion? Please vote.

I think ethnic Russians, ethnic Poles, ethnic Ukrainians, Belorussians and Balts are similar just Poles and Balts are more homogeneous then Russians and Ukrainians who have various phenotypes.

Every pole can pass as russian and vice-versa but in general and in groups look different, poles are balts mainly and often have square head look , russians are slavs mainly and have much more nordic people of any kinds, any person can make this general observation.

Poles also have various phenotypes: from Nordids and Baltids to Alpinids, Dinarids and Pontids.

Interesting. I would have thought actually Russians are more Baltic(d) and Poles more Dinaric, Alpine (especially Southern Poles). Of course there are many minorities in Russia but I am only considering ethnic Russians.

I saw many Poles and they all look alike to me. Baltic-Nordic range mainly.

Western Poles like Peterski (from Greater Poland that was actual western Poland before border correction) have significant Western Euro substratum and aren't super close to Russians, but rest of Poles are I guess.
Only some southeastern Poles overlap Western Ukrainians, both have Balkan admix rest of Poles and East Slavs lack.

Formal samples from Poland shift towards Western/Central Europe but they're pretty close. Here is Davidski's Northern Europe PCA...

Recent PCA from this publication (see page 95) suggests otherwise:

    https://publications.ub.uni-mainz.de.../100001279.pdf

But indeed many Eastern Poles can plot with Russians. Interestingly many Russians are more western-shifted than Ukrainians and Belarussians. Davidski also wrote that many Russians are more western-shifted than Balts (but the PCA posted above suggests otherwise):

    http://eurogenes.blogspot.com/2017/1...cross.html?m=1

    http://eurogenes.blogspot.com/2018/0...raphy.html?m=1

    ^^^
    Davidski's comment:

"What I find really interesting is that most Russians appear more 'western' than the Balts, especially Latvians."

The indicates that the Proto-Slavic homeland was to the west of Russia.

But you are more north-eastern than average PL_South (Małopolska).
