I became infected by HPV trough my partner and I did not transmit it to our son. I was worried about it during pregnancy but I guess I don't have overly contagious type. I also don't show any sign of ilness, but I still didn't get rid of it

First of all, HPV is not dangerous for men. Only women can have further complications.

But most of the time, both men and women clear the disease within 2 years.

It is a myth it doesn't affect men. Usually not but it can. Women are much more at risk though. It is extremelly widespread today due to promiscuity but many people are not even aware (like my husband wasn't) they carry it.

Since it doesn't have any symptoms in most cases only regular medical chacks can detect it before (if) becomes serious. In many young people with good immunity virus can retreat naturally.
