If I could do it all over again, I would have put aside a couple thousand dollars and went into Boston once a month and stayed at a nice hotel and got a hooker. The problem with all this is the hooker doesn't want to be there. She's there for the money. I can't imagine sex with someone who doesn't want to be there could be all that good. It would be just going through the motions for her.

Funny you should mention it, but one hour with a psychologist in the US costs $150-200. I have noticed the similarity in rates for psychologists and hookers and have often wondered if there isn't some kind of connection. I agree, I think patronizing prostitutes may, in some instances, be better for one's mental health.

It comes across as weird if both don't have a mutual interest. It's like when you're a kid and your parents force you to spend time with a kid whose parents are friends of theirs and so they want you to be friends with their friends' kid. It's just forced and awkward.

both are strangers that you pay for sharing a moment of intimacy. If sharing your intimacy with a stranger pay for that purpose is morally unsettling, then both professions are equally immoral in a way.
