I think the American motto is: 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.'

If I had to live in another nation outside of the UK, I'd choose either Ireland, the US, or an English speaking region of Canada.

I've heard people say that the French look down on foreign people who can speak French, but who don't speak it fluently and in the same regional accent as the natives. I wouldn't like to be treated like a second-rate citizen and a foreign alien in a nation if I'm not totally fluent in their native language. (Even if I got past the language barriers and went through the time and hassle to learn to speak another language fluently, I'd still be seen and treated as an outsider.)

USA. Better gun laws. I'm not familiar with knives beyond eating dinner and so I'd be in danger in the UK. Sweden is kind of faggy. Germans have no concept of individual rights. Canadians... I can always tell when a movie or TV show is filmed in Canada cuz it has an aura of 'there is something not right' feel to it and so I prefer to avoid Canada.
