Which Slavic languages do you know (at least a little bit) apart from Croatian? I don't believe that you know only Croatian and you understand everything.

Only Slovenian. This doesn't sound Polish or Russian to me at all, because I basically understand zero Polish and only around 30-40% of Russian.
It sound to me like south slavic language with north slavic intonation.

Clearly learning Russian and Serbian is very helpful. I need to conduct an experiment and ask someone with zero exposure to Russian about it.

Yeah, I am not a good material for experiments re. understanding Interslavic from the point of view of an average Polish person

If you were to speak like that in CzR, people would flat out ignore you and even think you are 'special'. One member here would.

And you'll be lucky if they learnt some Russian and they know that this isn't the case, so you don't risk your health there.
    Do what you should.

I've conducted an experiment and asked my sister to listen to this video.
She has zero exposure to Russian or any other Slavic language than Polish.
In her opinion she understood like 30-40% of the individual words and maybe 20% of the meaning from this recording.

I do know from experience that Yugoslavs and Poles are able to communicate with one-another rather well.
