People on these forums need to stop exaggerating the differences between Ashkenazi, Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews.

In fact, someone who is 3/4 Mizrahi Jewish and 1/4 Swedish would cluster with Ashkenazim. Stop making it sound like we look vastly different from each other. And even Ashkenazim who don't look Mizrahi can look West Asian.

There's a barely a difference between Ashkenazi, Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews in terms of appearance. On average Ashkenazi Jews have lighter skin and more "European" features: We mostly look Southern Italian or Greek, while many of us look Middle Eastern and quite a lot of us can pass in Northern Europe too. Same for Sephardic Jews, who dont' really look that much different from Ashkenazi.

I mean seriously here are some Ashkenazi Jews with Palestinian Arabs, compare them for a moment. I'm cherry picking here I know but come on, I find it laughable when someone says we aren't the same people.

It’s not so black and white. Iraqi Jews often do well for themselves and they don’t struggle. However yes most Mizrahi are no rich and some even lack education. However Mizrahi in Western Europe or North America often do well. It’s true that Ashkenazim still out rank them and this mostly due to Ashkenazi culture which puts strong emphasis on education. They also have accumulated a lot of wealth. IQ is just measuring socioeconomic status, not true intelligence. Mizrahi don’t have much genetic difference from Mizrahis anyways.

We cluster with the "Bottom Line" of the European cluster, with Scillians and Greek Islanders. This is because they are not purely European and neither are we, Ashkenazi still have large portions of the Ancient Semitic DNA, no matter if we typically just look Italian or Greek, many of us still look completely Levantine. What point are you trying to make here?

Ashkenazim also have significant German and French DNA. This is where they got light eyes and hair from. In New York 42% of Jews have light eyes which is higher than any South European group.
