It means nothing. There exist even black haired Finns and Swedes. Average English person is light to medium brown haired with blue eyes and pale skin.

It means that the typical English is not blonde or medium-dark blonde..

People with predominantly Celtic ancestry aren't just brunette or redheaded;- they also have blond Celtic people amongst them too. So why do some people think blond hair means a person has Germanic ancestry or Viking ancestry - given that not all Vikings and not all Germanic people are blond.

Insular Celts are quite northern shifted anyway whether they be Gaels or Brythonic. Insular Celts also have a mixture of Scandinavian and Germanic. They are on the whole darker haired but more blue eyed and fair skinned than a lot of Germanics. Insular Celts do appear to be quite Northern European although people on here appear to think that Germanics and Scandinavians are the only Northern Europeans and that the Insular Celts just magically appeared from distant shores.

I don't care... I admit that blonde are very common in Scandinavia and Baltic area.. but many people believe that blonde hair are very common in England also.

To me.. common means at least 40-50 % of the popolation..
The members of the most famous rock band ( english ) are not blonde..

In simple words.. this map is wrong because in England there are not so many blondes..

From genetics side they are mostly of Celtic roots.Their culture IMO are more on germanic side!
