Americans do everything infinitely better. The first way makes a lot more sense. As does measuring in feet, and farenheit for weather.

You must be kidding.... 4 July 1776 makes more sense of course, because it is like "The fourth day of the month July",
While July 4, 1776 would be like "The month July of the day 4", WTF!

    Day/Month/Year.

So I see 02/06/18 as being the 2nd of June 2018, rather than seeing it as the 6th of February 2018.

Also, "measuring in feet" and using "farenheit" are no way better. I don't know if you are being sarcasting but i hope yes...

I'm used to the first way... It would probably confuse me if someone here (in America) used the second way.

The term '9/11' being used by some youth in the UK causes some debate here, because it's seen as an Americanism and the Americanisation of our culture from the internet and international media. I deliberately say 11/9 when referring to the 11th of September, because I'm from the UK.

Nobody can really argue with the date format of the 7/7 attacks though.

I often feel confused when I see US date formats in articles and it takes me a few seconds to figure out which date they mean, because I subconsiously interpret it as day/month/year - like the way I was taught in schools and taught by my relatives, and like everyone else does too in our nation.

You should be glad about being Americanized...it is good for you.
