It depends on how mixed they are, if they fit in with the general population of my ethnicity, then they are a part of it as long as their values are the same.

If they look completely different BUT have the same values they can still fit in, but would be another ethnicity.

I do differentiate between ethnicity and citizenship though, someone might be of a different ethnicity to me but belong to the same soverign state.

I'm half English, but fully British, though all my ethnicities are white and culturally compatible.

Nice haha. And yeah, being mixed race does has its upsides in some way. Nobody ever knows what u are and u always get interesting guesses.

Eitherway, i am predominantly european and lesser african but i consider myself more afro than white. Because i was raised by a single black mum and i was raised the typical black way too lol

I've noticed, the people who are very good at classification classify me as:

West indies Caribbean (Where my mom is from), Mulatto (im roughly half african so thats accurate), Egyptian, Dominican, Puerto Rican.

ive heard a few guesses like ppl saying i look predominantly white, like 70%>, and people thinking i look Mexican or Mestizo. I find those guesses to be quite weird tbh.

Interesting perspective dude. So for example, i speak perfectly fluent English, my dad is probably 1/4 or half English. Would you say i would fit in into britain if i had your same values for example? or would i look too foreign.

( im trying to form a perspective on it haha )

Its exactly what it says, no hidden messages in it XD

if someone is half your ethnicity or nationality whatever since you are mixed yourself, would you view them exactly like you view your 100% jordanian or 100% russian neighbor because they are also 50% russian or jordanian and share your same values and views?

i cant break it down any easier for you

like for example, someone i know is 50% dutch and 50% caribbean.

i will consider them "caribbean" even though they are also 50% dutch, if they share my same values, and they look like a caribbean i will consider them caribbean or mulatto.

I’ll consider them what they are, whilst also taking into consideration who they feel closer to.

I would say that you wouldn't be ethnically British, because of your phnetype and because you grew up elsewhere, BUT as long as you spoke the language, learnt the cultural norms, integrated well with the natives and legally attained citizenship you would be a British citizen of Afro-Caribbean descent, that's probably what you would be "classified" as in the census.

It would be the same case if I tried to be Antillean, or Dutch, I could fit in maybe, but not be ethnically one of the natives.

Ok that's fair enough yeah. I would agree with that 100%.

I know dutch people myself that were born in Curacao. Nationality speaking they are curacaoans, whilst i was born in the Netherlands and had a afro-caribbean parent i would be considered dutch nationality speaking.

However, ethnically they are far from being Curacaoan, they maybe share in common that they both have dutch ancestry, but significant differences in percentages.

I'd say that Curacaoans on average are 60-95% African. More than Arubans atleast.
