    No they didn't

Their ethnogenesis "12 sons of Jacob/Israel" took place before they entered Israel but since this is allegorically more
we don't exactly know what is historically true

They probably mixed quite with the different local people when they arrived in Israel.
The Talmud tells us that the only language the Torah could be translated into elegantly is Greek.

It depends on definition of Jew and if using Biblical sources or not.

Their origin is Mesopotamia. They were not Levantines originally. In fact they referred to the natives as Cannanites. However they have intermingled with Egyptians, Arabians, and some Levantine tribes before going to Israel and conquer it quite brutally from the natives of the land, and this is mentioned in the bible. The basically did a genocide against the native Cannanites. Their language is Cannanite one but it does not mean the Hebrews were Cannanites, if anything they were an off-shoot of Chaldean/Babylonians ironically.

Kind of hard to tell really. Our best bet is dig up graves of prophets, especially Abraham and do a DNA testing.

Samaritans today plot with Levantines but dunno if they are considered Ancient Israel.

The other problem is that Judaism was at one point a universal religion. I believe Jews are more of a religious grouping than a true ethnicity. I mean many groups converted to Judaism to name a few Khazars, Himrityes in Yemen, Kindah in Arabia, Assyrians in Adaibene, Berbers in North Africa, some Iberians, Romans, Greeks, Slavs. At times Arabian groups like the Nabateans were forced into it, as were the Edomites. So since antiquity they are mixed but they are Mesopotamian and are an off-shoot of Babylonians originally. They were invaders in the Levant.
