Default FOR ASPAR: Macedonians named 'SRBIN'

I would like to point out to our members of this forum of the fact that Macedonians were naming their male sons SRBIN and not Bulgarin, Balgarin, Bolgarin, Arnaut, Vlasin and Aspar. Here is some Macedonian sources that were quoted from Ottomans:

Vilayet of Veles, village of Jabolchiste:

„Novak Burhanin,; Tome Belche, Bogche, Todor, son of Belche; Hrchko, brother of Pecko; Pejo, son of Danche, Vlkashin, Srbin; Gjurash, Srbin, Rade Stari; Dojchin, his son; Gjorgjo, son of Rade; Rale Momchil; Hrlo, son of Dapko; Brajko, son of Kovach; Ivan; Stale, son of Stojan; Rale, son of Stojan; Stepan, Srbin; Dabe; Pejchin, son of Rade...”

(Turski dokumenti za istorijata na makedonskiot narod, Skopje, 1971, str 143)

village of Dobrushevo, Vilayet of Prilep:
„Bogdan Srbin; Marko, his son, Dimitri son of Gruban...Dimitri son of Srbin; Todor son of Srbin, Pejo son of Rajcho...

(Turski dokumenti za istorijata na makedonskiot narod, Skopje, 1971, str 60)

village of Sopotnica, northwest from Krushevo:
”Ivanish Stale; Stanisha Mano; Petko, Srbin; Petar, Srbin; Stajko Srbin...„

(Turski dokumenti za istorijata na makedonskiot narod, Skopje, 1971, str 540)

village of Divjaci, northwest od Krushevo:
”Jandro, Srbin; Miho son of Srbin; Dimitri son of Srbin, Petko son of the priest...„

(Turski dokumenti za istorijata na makedonskiot narod, Skopje, 1971, str 541)

    village of Volkoselo, nahiya of Prilep;
”Bogavec, Srbin; Stanisha son in law of Bogdan...Stanisha, Srbin; Pejo, son of Tonchin...„

(Turski dokumenti za istorijata na makedonskiot narod, Skopje, 1971, str 95)

Macedonians are Serbian and thats obvious but what is interesting is that even though you are really nationalist you end up divided and form artificial nations like macedonians or montenegrins.

^ yes your right. One thing is missing, too much outside influence coming from Bankers and their agents.

Where is Aspar, who is ashamed to admit his Aromanian and Albanian-Shqiptar-Arnaut ancestry.

Historically, nationality (citizenship) and ethnicity were closely pretty tied. Ethnicity was far more malleable in the past than it is today. Nationhood was often correlated to factors such as the country you were born in or what religion you followed. The same is not the case anymore. So its not outrageous to suggest that at least a few individual Macedonian families started identifying with Serbia and Serbs a while after their land got annexed by Dushan. Lowland Scots used to identify as ethnic English before they got annexed by Scotland for example. Also, once Macedonia was annexed by Serbia, some Serbs started migrating to Macedonia. Considering that Dushan made Skopia Serbia's capital, the amount of Serbs that would have migrated from Serbia to Macedonia may have been somewhat significant.

^ Mingle, l see the angle your taking, however the issue is the name Macedonia can be defined by Serbian. Macedonia is littered by towns called Serbia, Macedonians venerate king Marko. Not that this should matter, specific regions of Macedonia, roughly 50% of the territory, speak dialects less differentiated from 'Standard Serbian'. Even today some Macedonians have 'Serbian Slava', during the Bulgarian Exarchos it had been eradicated to a degree.....similarly occurred to the Slavs of Northern Greece.

Mingle, all Slavs are Serbs, l say this in full confidence! Take a look at a map of Europe in 814AD, and you will see.

I know but this is my observation.

No, northern and Eastern dialects are less differentiated. Standard Prilep dialect which is state language, is most differentiated.

Yes, some do feel closer to Bulgarians, besides aren't we all Slavs?
