According to latest such study from Gralla 1981 (12816 men i 12180 women, investigated in years 1956-1959), Poles have such nasal profile breakdown

    men (19-65)

    concave - 18.2%
    wavy - 30.2%
    straight - 26.85%
    convex - 14.21%
    hooked - 10.55%

    women (19-65)

    concave - 25.18%
    wavy - 31.98%
    straight - 26.82%
    convex - 7.81%
    hooked - 8.21%

For me, what is visible for Polish women is their relatively predominant wavy profile not exactly convex/hooked. In many countries straight profile is dominant, even more then 50%. So here wavy gives impression of non-straightness.

    From left to right:
    1-2 concave

    3 straight

    4 convex

    5 hooked

    6 wavy

    7 hooked-convex

    Wavy is the last.

Interesting statistics. The Russians have it like this
Russian Russian anthropologist V.V. Bunak, meanwhile, in his book "The Origin and Ethnic History of the Russian People", summing up the results of many years of scientific research, writes that in 75% of cases Russians have straight noses, whereas in the whole of Europe this number is no more than 70%. Only 16% of Russians have a convex nose shape and only 10% have a concave one.
Snub noses are not typical for Eastern Slavs at all. The upturned nose is noted only in 7% of Russians. There are much more snub–nosed individuals among Germans - more than 25%.

Makes sense. I inherited concave nose from my pred. German grandma. None of Slavs in my family had snub noses. I believe original Slavs didn't have this feature as pronounced at all.

I imagine in Croatia concave profile is anomaly?

Yes, but worth to note it is for men only, 8.7% exactly. For women is similar like in Poland 26% concave.

Here you probably not quote Bunak, as in the same study as above upturned category was about 27-28%% for Russian men and 31,6-34% for women. As those are two very similar categories for measuring upturnity but one is for whole base of the nose ad second just for tip.

A Polish girl has just started at my work, and her surname is "Plaza"

I never realised this was a Polish surname

Obviously means town square in Spanish, must mean something different in Polish

I am surprised but in Poland there are 618 people with such surname, mainly in Silesia.

    Plaża (not Plaza) means beach.

I have to look at many studies which I have to compile. Maybe later. From the short glance Vepsians and Karelians have 35-40% concave for example.
