    I find similarity in the sounding of the two language, and we have few relative words, but yes we don't understand each other, neither the turkish I will add this aswell..

    Hungarian, while distant from Finnish, does have the similar intonation.



    But they're quite far from each other.

    And both Finns as Hungarians are European with a Christianised culture. Indo-Aryan and Indo-Iranian come with a certain cultural baggage we'd have to get over as Germanic speakers. I have no experience learning languages from those branches, though. Perhaps that would make no difference at all.
