Douglas Bader (1910-1982)

Group Captain Sir Douglas Robert Steuart Bader, CBE, DSO & Bar, DFC & Bar, FRAeS, DL (21st February 1910 - 5th September 1982) was a Royal Air Force flying ace during the Second World War. He was credited with 22 aerial victories, four shared victories, six probables, one shared probable and 11 enemy aircraft damaged.

I watched the Ewan MccGregor one, very very heavy on the fighter and bomber aircraft of WWII for a documentary meant to reflect 100 years of the RAF. Yes, the Battle of Britain was indeed our finest hour but there is more to the RAF than that, it's a sham, he could have used to opportunity to showcase otherwise capabilities and roles within the RAF to a wider audience.
