Поранешниот претседател на Република Бугарија Георги Прванов (2002-2012) вели дека нема шанси да биде прифатено името Северна Македонија, коментирајќи ги резултатите од референдумот во денешното гостување на БНТ.

– Јас мислам дека тука Бугарија треба да презеде водство и да ги повика нашите партнери од ЕУ и НАТО да оди кон прием на земјата во овие организации со името Република Македонија – рече Прванов.

Според Прванов тоа е потребно да се направи доколку Македонија им е „стратешки значајна, а не само како фронтовска држава каква сега сакаат да ја претворат во односите со Русија “. Запрашан како ќе реагира Грција на тоа Прванов вели дека не сака да зборува во име на Грција и дека не би водел преговори со неа.

Во тој контекст тој го споменал прашањето за дефинирање на заедничката историја со Македонија.
