In order to avoid genetical prone to hereditary diseases yes. To make them more beautyful or something like that, well we should maybe let some things like how nature created them. But probably what we consider now weird or strange , these things will be obvious in a few hundred years .

It feels unethical in some way, but I think I'd do it only to remove certain recessive genetic diseases like cystic fibrosis, etc. The problem is that it's a slippery slope, and you'd have people doing it for other less savory reasons (ex: phenotypical changes, racial qualities, sports advantages, etc etc). There should be a board of ethics to police those things if it ever became mainstream.
