The ethnonym "Sorbs" (Serbja, Serby) derives from the medieval ethnic groups called Sorbs (Surbi, Sorabi). The original ethnonym, Srbi, was retained by the Sorbs and Serbs in the Balkans

Yes. I dont know why they are called Sorbs and not Serbs in english.

Serboi was allegedly Sarmatian group. Who escaped from their original homeland on Caspian shore under Hunnic onslaught to take shelter in Polish forests where they Slavicized inside the mass.

That is how it should be. But Sorbs are semi-Lechitic and have highest amount of R1a among northern Slavs, being pred. M458, typical for Western Slavs. And the have almost no I2-dinaric.
While Balkan Serbs are mostly I2-dinaric and their R1a is pred. Z280, typical for Eastern Slavs, while smaller amount does have M458 (like my Serb ancestor)
