Voting wrong. It's a EUSSR thing. Both the Dutch, French and Irish have voted wrong. The good thing is , they allowed the Irish to vote again. How cool is that ?!

Realistically I'd probably prefer the GDR, because I German mentality is similar to my culture's and as I said earlier, GDR citizens were more liberal. They even decriminalised homosexuality earlier than many Western countries. Not that I care much about LGBT rights, but it does prove that they were less conservative.

Poles on the other hand are still very conservative to date. But I respect their opposition to the regime throughout. Living in a society that doesn't pretend it likes living under socialism is both depressing but also hope-giving at the same time.

Early west German reports mocked the GDR for female equality lol.

They were sorta progressive in that mattery but I think more because of productivity instead of caring for female rights lol
