Herzegovinians there are Croats from Široki Brijeg and Mostar.
I have 4,5 Croats from Herzegovina on my 23andme list and all of them are I2 except one who is I1. It is just a coincidence, but in my opinion total I in Herzegovina would converge to 55% if large enough sample is taken.

According to anti-Serbian propaganda created by Ante Starčević Serbs from Serbia are Turks, and Serbs from Bosnia and Croatia are mix of Vlachs and Croatians.
Many Croatians claim these bullshit.
Ante Starčević had these attitudes because of at least 2 reasons.
First he was mentaly ill prerson.
Second he wanted to devide Serbs with a goal of conversion western Serbs in Catholicism and croatization of them. His dream was Croatia to the Drina river and Belgrade, that means whole Bosnia and Herzegovina and Syrmia in Croatia.

Nobody says that religion = nation. There is a lot of things which connects catholics in Bosnia with Croats besides religion itself such as feelings of belonging to the same ethnic group, consciousness of a common origin, remembering the same ancestors and awareness of the same history, speaking the same language etc. You can also be Croat if you share at least some of these things without a doubt. I know people whose origin is certainly not from Croatia but today they freely express themselves as Croats. To me it appears that you don't understand the basic concept of modern nations. I've met several people who adhere to different religions who declare as Croats aswell so being catholic does not equal being Croat. In my opinion Bosniak is just a regional identity. I respect people who belong to this newly formed nation but you can't pursue other to declare as such.
