I figured out my main issues
1.I eat too fast
2. I tend to stuff random things into my mouth (oral fixation)
3. My portions are bigger than I need
4.I some times neglect to write down extra "helpings" of things such as one more bowl of ice cream, etc
5.I keep odd hours (which may or may not make a difference)

Do you smoke? If you want to quit smoking, then move to England as we have the second lowest smoking rate in Europe after Sweden. It continues to decline each year.
We have lots of free help with smoking cessation clinics and counselling support, alongside strict laws and fines against smoking in public places, etc.
It's not allowed to be advertised here and all cigarette and tobacco packaging must not be visually displayed in public view in stores, and must by law contain repulsive packaging full of gruesome pictures and large health warnings over the packaging... plus they're expensive to buy.
As for weight... regular exercise, self-discipline and respect, and a healthy diet is the answer.

King Henry VIII died aged 55 and he had two of his numerous wives beheaded and murdered at the Tower of London.
He divorced England from the Catholic Pope and the Vatican when he wanted to get a divorce from one of his wives. The Pope refused to grant him with a divorce, so he took England away from the power of the Vatican over our nation, and he set-up a new Protestant Church of England and made himself as the head of the new Church of England organisation... so he could get his divorce.
He disowned his Catholic daughter Mary ('Bloody Mary' who later grew-up to be evil and burned Protestant English people to death (including pregnant females) when she took revenge on the nation and people fled the country due to the smell of burning flesh everywhere.... until she passed away and her younger half-sister Protestant Elizabeth I was on the throne of England.) Bloody Mary also had 15 year old Lady Jane Grey (Protestant Queen of England for just 9 days) locked-up inside the Tower of London and publicly beheaded a few months later.
King Henry VIII disowned Bloody Mary's Spanish Catholic mother (Catherine of Aragon) following their divorce after he converted to Protestantism. Bloody Mary (the most hated Queen in English history) grew-up feeling isolated and shunned by her father (King Henry VIII,) and she sought revenge against Protestants when she became an adult and took over the throne of England... and that led to a lot of bloodshed and deaths for English people if they'd converted to Protestantism.
Soho in Central London was named after King Henry VIII because many centuries ago it was his hunting ground and he'd call out 'so-ho' on horseback whilst sadistically fox-hunting. (Today the area of Soho is full of sex shops, gay bars, sex cinemas, etc.)
I don't see what's so admirable about an overweight man of the aristocracy who had two of his six wives beheaded (murder is a crime,) leaving his daughter Elizabeth I without a mother after he ordered for Anne Boleyn to be beheaded at the haunted Tower of London. He's cited as one of the most important Kings in English history, but he wasn't in the same league as Alfred the Great, Richard the Lionheart, etc.
People bow-down like slaves to the royals.... but they come from a bloodline of greedy and parasitic inbreds, sadistic murderers and torturers (even murdering their own relatives in the name of greed,) massive land thieves, and corrupt people.
