The Protestant Irish are living an out-dated identity and they are the problem; it is they who are the triumphalists impeding the peace process (not that there is conflict in NI like in previous decades).
Certain Protestants were instrumental in promoting the Irish Gaelic language and there have been Protestant Republicans who supported unification with Ireland. It's too bad there are so many bad apples that spoil the bunch.
