Thread: Learn more about my Y dna ( I-S17250)

    Two cousins of mine, one from the village next to mine on the west, the other from the village next to mine on the east, both got their 23andMe back and both got I-S17250. They have different surnames, but both their surnames are very, very common in Livno. I think it's safe to assume that they're both PH908 which is very, very high among Croatians from West Hercegovina, SW Bosnia, and the Dalmatian Hinterland.

    Cool. I2-PH908 seems to be the highest in the Serbs of Dalmatia and Herzegovina also, but not to the high levels of Croats from Herzegovina. One of my Y dna matches is a Croat with a Herzegovinian surname.

    Cool! My Ukrainian grandma's brother just got a DNA test unexpectedly and he ended up having I-S17250 =) I'm hoping to learn more about it! I'm very interested in what people here have discovered. Sorry to revive the dead thread though
