Do you believe that people with zero or a minority of blood from your nation can really be one of you? Do you think that your ethnic diaspora are part of the same nation or separate? How much foreign ancestry is acceptable? How much non-European ancestry is acceptable? How much of a role does language and culture play? For Colonials, how many generations does it take to be a true Australian/American? etc etc
Generally I think it's absurd for anybody who is ancestrally less than 50% of an ethnicity to be considered a part of that group. I think blood from closely related nations and cultures counts for more than more distant ethnicities, and especially non-European groups, from whom significant ancestry is a disqualifier.
Honestly I don't consider myself a true Aussie, my family hasn't been here long enough. I also don't consider people who are majority non Anglo/NW European to be true Aussies.
