What should you do when all of your country's water is in the south, but all of your country's people are in the north? Isn't it obvious? Move the rivers up to the north!

It's a big one. And pretty controversial too.

Pop quiz: which country spent USD 3 billion to build a railway on top of a massive permafrosted plateau? C'mon... you know it's going to be China.

China's $62 billion economic development plan is a strategic expansion for Chinese interests and a huge boon to Pakistani infrastructure... well, until the bill comes due, anyway.

Here we have extracts from Sun Tzu's ancient classic, still relevant today. Translated by Lionel Giles. Huge thanks to Antony Cummins for the use of his images from his version of the text, and for his choice of extracts for this video. Pick up a copy of his clear and easy to understand version here: https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Art-W...

This is a reupload of my original Kai Tak video, which I had to take down and do some amendments to in order to fix some technical issues. Hello, and welcome back to Places - Lost in Time, a series that looks back on the tale of places and locations that have existing within living memory or photographic record, but are now lost to the pages of history. In Episode 2, we take a gander at the famous Kai Tak International Airport, which was at one point the world's busiest single-runway airport in terms of traffic, and the third busiest airport on earth in terms of passenger numbers. However, while the airport was the gateway to Hong Kong, its constrained location meant it was doomed to failure. Walking the Waterfront (The Bund) in Shanghai China. I hope this video can bring joy to someone regardless of my cheap gimbal. The Bund is a waterfront that stretches down the Huangpu River for about a mile. A great place to photograph the skyline of Shanghai. It's been a while since I've uploaded a video as social media is blocked and my vpn was down. Almost impossible to get a video uploaded so I flew to Thailand for a week.
