It is said "MyHeritage DNA results of my grandma. She is a German from Russia and her roots go back to West Prussia. Her ancestors migrated from West Prussia to the Planer colonies near Mariupol, thats why they are also called Black Sea Germans. Pointing out that she is from West Prussia because many other Germans from Russia came from West and South Germany, so their genetic makeup will be different."

Her family must of gotten assimilated by Slavs but kept there Germanic culture, or she was just a germanised Slav.
Myheritage is notoriously bad tho, it gave me a result which is genetically impossible. She should do 23andme.

Could of been either way. Her family might of originally been German, but kept on mixing with Slavs, whilst keeping their German culture. A bit like how in Turkey you have Bosniak Turks who look Turkish, there ancestors probably came from Bosnia but kept on mixing with local Turks whilst keeping their identity through the ages,
