Is it true that Greeks can't pronounce Č and Š

I had one Greek school-mate (born in Czech town, as a member of Greek diaspora, here). I remember that once he told me, that his ancestors came from the part of Greec,e where is spoken very distinct dialect, what, unlike in the rest of Greece, is used a sound Š

or do you have to do it as English?

I don't know about Cyprus but noone uses this sound in Greece unless they' re toothless.

As I remember well, ancesors of my Greek classmate was from northern Greece (Macedonia?), and as he told, the sound Š is/was used there, too.

whatever that means man... but certainly they can't pronounce our letters.

Interestingly, we can pronounce all of their letters with ease.

I've thought that people who don't regularly pronounce letters like Č and Š have issues pronouncing similar sounds in other languages.
