    Default Eye color differences between Polish regions

    Sample = 2739 Polish men born between 1905-1939, assigned to regions based on birthplaces.

    Light eyes = shades 9-10, 12-16 in the Martin scale.
    Mixed eyes = shades 7-8, 11 in the Martin scale.
    Dark eyes = shades 1-6 in the Martin scale.

    North-East Poles (n=156):

    Light eyes = 44.8%
    Mixed eyes = 47.3%
    Dark eyes = 7.9%

    North-West Poles (n=983):

    Light eyes = 52.3%
    Mixed eyes = 39.9%
    Dark eyes = 7.8%

    Central Poles (n=668):

    Light eyes = 43.8%
    Mixed eyes = 45.3%
    Dark eyes = 10.9%

    South-West Poles (n=690):

    Light eyes = 42.7%
    Mixed eyes = 47.7%
    Dark eyes = 9.6%

    South-East Poles (n=242):

    Light eyes = 38%
    Mixed eyes = 47.5%
    Dark eyes = 14.5%

    It is interesting that Central Polish have dark eyes 1.3 percent more than Southwestern Polish.
