There seems to be a radical philosophical interrelation between the Copenhagen one and the great Irish philosopher George Berkeley's Idealism theory of metaphysics I think! Same with the various Eastern religions as you said and their core tenets/beliefs. I believe what many make an attempt at, is in proving 'Idealism' by evidence of quantum mechanics. It's like in the philosophy of dreaming where anything is possible in a dream; in a dream you can make whatever was true to be false and whatever was false to be true..all physical laws and rules of nature wouldn't necessarily have to be followed or have any set order/mechanics.. Like you could all just be dreaming the whole thing up and you would never be able to rule that possibility out.
If consciousness creates reality, then there really are no material objects "out there" existing independently from mind. While the opposing "Materialism/Naive-Realism" worldview pretty much follows the founding principles of our world culture where most people go throughout their entire lives believing that an external world "out there" really exists independently outside of one's perception/observation.
As in Matrix theories, find some glitches or directly observed malicious hacking in the system so to say..then you'll know for sure you've been deceived by the computer program and that you're really in "The Matrix". Like awakening from the dream so to speak.
