    Default Justinian the Vlach

Can Justinian be considered a Vlach, or at least a proto-Vlach? He was born to a peasant Latin speaking family of non-Greek origin in Dardania (Macedonia). Now, a Latin speaking family in, say, Spain would mean people whose language would eventually evolve into Spanish; in Gaul, into French; etc. A Latin speaking family in Macedonia would thus be people whose language would eventually evolve into the Romance languages called "Vlach" south of the Danube and, north of the Danube, Romanian. So, in short, Justinian was a Romanian, whether in the modern or the ancient sense. A Romanian emperor of Romania.

He is Aromanian, but keep in mind a lot of those Aromanians today are Slavicized Macedonians.

He has typical Dinarid Western Balkan face. He's closest matches would be Fyromanians, Romanians, Serbs and Northern Greeks.

And the meaning of subclades and haplogroups is too complicated for you to understand!

He's a native, and Romanians are technically Romanized natives with Slavic admixture..so, yeah, he might have looked very similar to Vlachs or Aromanians.

Could Vlachs from Albania and Greece have a more northern origin?

"They, the Vlachs were conquered by Emperor Trajan who had defeated and annihilated them. Their king, named Decebalus, was killed (...). They are, in fact, the so-called Dacians and Bessi who used to live near the Danube and Sava rivers, where now the Serbs live, in inaccessible and inhospitable places (...) And they left the region: some of them spread to Epirus and Macedonia, although the majority of them settled in Hellas."

Don't be too harsh on him. Bosnians are legendary for their stupidity.
Even Russian member who's mother visited Yugoslavia said she heard the stereotype of dumb villager Bosnian
