Treasure hunters searching for Nazi loot in Icelandic waters must provide reports, as law requires

The Icelandic Environment Agency has given treasure hunters who had attempted to salvage unidentified valuables from a German merchant vessel SS Minden which sank in Icelandic waters a week to turn in a final report on their operations.

Mysterious treasure hunters

The company Advanced Marine Services Ltd. had been granted permission to conduct a search of the wreckage deep SE off the coast of Iceland in the summer of 2017, but were allowed to continue the search in July. The local newspaper Fréttablaðið reports that the treasure hunters have already exceeded the legal deadline on turning in a final report on the search as required by law.
