The land abandoned by the Serbs was settled by Muslims, mainly ethnic Serbs who confessed Islam and Turks, but also significant population from the Caucasus, the Middle East and the Asia Minor. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sand%C5%BEak#History
Seems like MENA peeps and Caucasians also settled in Sandzak, as well as Turks and Ghegs, explains the very exotic looks of some individuals. The girl almost looks like Punjabis I've seen.

This video is political pre-election promotion od former Sanžakli mufti Muamer Zukorlić https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muamer_Zukorlić
Song is about Bosniaks, but on 3:10 is old man is on typical Gheg Albanian costume. Old man debunked fake Bosniak identity of Sanžaklis.

Though most look exotic, there are still a couple here and there that would have no problem passing in Central Europe (whether as typical or atypical), obviously a minority. There are also some (likely of Slavic ancestry) that could pass in Ukraine like Sead Sehovic, Fahrudin Malic, etc. But yeah, most look Albanian and Montenegrin by far.
Although the link says ME and Caucasian people came to Sanjak, I think they would have been a drop in the water. The migration from Anatolia may have been somewhat significant. Was there any significant migration from Bosnia/Serbia/Croatia or are they all either of Montenegrin Serb/Albanian (and Turkish) descent?
By the way, there was a Muslim user from Sanjak here last year (he only stayed for a couple of days) that didn't identify with Bosniaks, he looked quite Slavic ironically (though I think he was part German) and just considered himself Sandžaklija. I wonder how common it is for Sanjak Muslims to just consider themselves "ethnic Sandžaklija" (as opposed to "Bosniak"), probably a tiny minority but still interesting if they started developing a separate identity or this was just a one off case.
