Nope. It's merely an Internet meme (it has roots in German racial theories of the early 19th century too), they look as White as they come (you're unlikely to see any Mongoloid traits except in rare cases), even the earliest Finnish immigrants to the US were colonists who were Swedes in the legal sense.

Because a minority has some obvious admixture of the Siberian type. And Nordic admixture this gives the cheekbones a particular projection.

I trust I have got more Siberian DNA than Finns in general, because of my Saami ancestry.

I dropped the “Mongol pride” from my profile though, not because I wouldn’t be proud of our Saami-Siberian admix it was referring to, but because that joke wore thin when I learned just how horrific and devastating Mongol Invasion actually was for the people in many Russian towns.
We never even came in contact with those pesky Mongols, thanks to the Novgorodian Alexander Nevsky (I assume this is historically accurate), and one can only be grateful for that.

Thanks to the DNA tests, I now know who or which group of Saami I partially descend from.
I now know very well what colour Saami dress they wear to identify themselves, but could never wear it unless I lived there and was a full member of that society.
Still, subconsciously and in collective subconscious I am more Saami than Karelian in my ethnicity, which is a bit of a weird thing, but which has served me well understanding other indigenous worldviews (even in Australia) which goes way, way deeper than any ethnicity larping could do.

Yeah, Germans, especially the older Germans immediately identify me with or recognize me as a German soul. Heh.

Ok. Have to admit – fortunately or unfortunately I got my looks from my Swedish-Finnish grandfather, who looked very German indeed, but whom I could not identify with at all.

Yet, genuine indigenous people, deemed to have a low IQ have been able to see beyond the blind belief of apparencies.
