Default It is not in India nor in Tibet; is in Mesoamerica

The Mesoamerican peoples (Mayans, Aztecs, Olmecs, etc.) also practiced psychoactive exercises similar to yoga and meditation:

It was not because of Asia's cultural influence on America, since the oldest evidence is found in America, not Asia.

The spirituality of Mesoamerica also reached very high levels, but the "researchers" are more interested in studying the subject of human sacrifices based on pseudo-archeology.

A civilization that measured the celestial cycles with great accuracy, created the most accurate calendar made by man, used the concept of zero much earlier than in the Old World and created eplendorous cities perfectly planned and synchronized with the Cosmos, could not believe that the sun needed to be fed with blood. That is cultural prejudice.

Of course! In Mesoamerica a very high philosophy-spirituality was developed, with a high content in metaphysics. The "gods" were not whimsical personal entities, that is a very European vision worthy of the Middle Ages and of the infantile Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam). The "gods" Mesoamericans were abstract concepts, metaphors of the powers of nature and states of consciousness or psychological.

The human sacrifices were not to appease the thirst of the gods, that is stupid and prejudiced. The human sacrifices were ejecussions to criminals, traitors and political enemies. Nowadays, the same is still done by means of the electric chair and lethal injections.

Quetzalcoatl (feathered serpent) is a philosophical symbol that represents moving from the reptilian condition to the winged condition; that is, to move from what is dragged to what flies; from the mundane condition to the noble condition.

Quetzalcoatl is a state of consciousness similar to Buddha's. And the people who reached that state of consciousness were awarded that honorable name.

I wonder how much of Filipino Martial Arts incorporates these ancient Mayan and Aztec mystical posturing and spirituality.

Most of the soldiers sent to Philippines by the Spanish empire were recruited in Mexico...

Letter from Fajardo to Felipe III From Manila, August 15 1620.(From the Spanish Archives of the Indies)("The infantry does not amount to two hundred men, in three companies. If these men were that number, and Spaniards, it would not be so bad; but, although I have not seen them, because they have not yet arrived here, I am told that they are, as at other times, for the most part boys, mestizos, and mulattoes, with some Indians (Native Americans). There is no little cause for regret in the great sums that reënforcements of such men waste for, and cost, your Majesty. I cannot see what betterment there will be until your Majesty shall provide it, since I do not think, that more can be done in Nueva Spańa (Mexico), although the viceroy must be endeavoring to do so, as he is ordered.")

I wonder how the interaction between Eastern Tantra and Meso-American Spirituality would've panned out.

I'm also wondering of the reverse, how Asian mysticism affected ancient Mexico.

It was not because of cultural influence; but if it had been like that, it would be from America to Asia because the oldest evidences are in Mesoamerica.

The similutes are because when you look for the same questions, you come to the same answers. Besides that the Native Americans coming from Asia share many common roots with them.

One question: what Filipino words are of Nahuatl origin?
