Do you consider Latin America as part of the Western World?

I mean people, usually, think about North America (taking out Mexico) and Europe as Western World. What do you think? Be honest, and feel yourself free to say anything too.

Latin america is kind of a weird spot. It has its own world sphere kind of. Its not really western or any other.

Geographically, we're in western world, but, economically we are far from Europe and USA. It's creates a strange situation. Thanks for your opinion. I consider Turkey - overall - more western than countries like Brazil or Bolivia.

Hmm, i'm not so sure about that. Maybe Bolivia, but West is not only about Economy. Japan is rich but isn't Western.

The axis - culture, ecnomy, and race - is what I take as criterion and clue. Japan is "western" about some aspects. Japan has changed a lot in XIX century, to adapt itself in western world.

Most Latin American Countries(like Argentina, Mexico, Colombia) are as western as you may get, 90% speak Western European languages, 90% are Roman Catholics, Just because most of them have a Mestizo admixture(you can Argue that Argentina/Uruguay is pretty much European) and they are not consider first world countries, that does not make them "Not Western"

What would make Argentina less Western than the USA? Language? Religion? Budget?
