Where can you pass?

No one passes in Basque and then also in Denmark.

I've been to Denmark three times and felt like I saw many people in Copenhagen that looked similar(ish) to me. Combining that with my height and stature, along with scoring very highly on my K36 Map for Denmark was the justification for feeling like I'd pass somewhat in Denmark. I obviously don't know the country as well as a native though, but I don't think I am entirely ignorant either. I've never been to the Basque region before, but I feel like I share some similarities with the local phenotypes too. Maybe both should be marked as yellow, rather than light green.

It just confuses me how everyone seems to have such different opinions on this lol

I mean I still think the regions I pass best are Hungary and Northwest Russia/Finland but I think I could obviously pass better in Scandinavia than in Spain or Italy.

I'd agree with Finland/NW Russia probably being the closest category too. Judging from your avatar you could possibly pass in the far north of Norway or Sweden IMO, but not in the south.

I lived in Tromsø (Northern Norway) for 3 months and I saw many people that looked similar to you facially, both with blonde and darker hair. My guess is that it's Sami/Lappish admixture altering the local Nordic phenotypes. It wasn't a majority by any means though, but a substantial minority of people in those places resemble you somewhat IMO.

Yes it's true, you would pass better in northern europe. But what does it matter, you would still be noticed non-native here aswell. So it's kinda whatever.

They can... Many spaniards look Scandinavian or from the British Isles, I believe due to the Celts and Vikings. Especially the Basque people and Galicians.

The only spaniard i have ever seen that even slightly comes close to NW EU asthetics. Is someone like Gerard Pique. And he would still not in a million trillion quadrillion years be guessed as native, in scandinavia atleast.

And no, the genetic legacy left by vikings is strongly overstated generally. Theres nothing in spaniards that would indicate nordic heritage. Perhaps a few people, in the form of Y-DNA legacy. But in terms of autosomal DNA, no chance, even if they could magically trace their ancestry to a viking, the genetics would be outwashed completely by now, it's a 1000 years ago.

Based on your results id probably be inclined to say, yeah you probably pass decently in Denmark. Just due to your genetics. But i don't know what you look like, so yeah, but you probably look similiar.

I still think no one passes in both basque and Denmark. It's just two very different looks.

Fair enough. Thanks for your opinion! I'm surprised that the Danish result scored so highly in the British Isles on that K36 Map, those things are super interesting.
