How long have you been using Internet Forums/Messageboards?

I first started using forums in 2002, on ABC youth forums here in Australia. I largely only used football forums/messageboards throughout the 2000s (mostly non-football related discussion), and only started using political forums in the 2010s, regularly since about 2014/15, when I came to political maturity. I've started using Anthopological/Genetic forums this year.

2003 or 2004. My very first forum was a austrian forum on religious topics. It was a forum where you could post without having an account even. And you couldnt post pictures only text. I gradually discovered more and more forums and joined.

Around 3-4 years.

I used to lurk paranormal/conspiracy theory forums like 4 years ago but it got too boring and repetitive. Forums are more of a closing time at the pub thing now.

Honestly most online forums were shit, when you lurk for a long time and become accustomed to board culture.

We just remember them fondly because we look at them through nostalgia glasses.
