Default People in diaspora, who would you fight for if your country declared war on your old country?

This question mainly applies to New Worlders I suppose.

Will you feel conflicted? Also, what is the degree of separation between you and your Old World identity, how many generations removed are you?

    Man this is tough.

I'm first gen so I feel pretty close to India but i recently became a citizen of US as well. Not sure actually. Hmm man if i had to, I'd choose India. I still identify with my indian side moreso. I really hope such a situation doesn't occur though cause I love both of the countries that represent me.

The likelihood is pretty much non-existent with India and the US I think, but it is interesting to hear. What could persuade you to change?

yeah US and India are pretty good allies so very unlikely. India only has issues with Pakistan and China. It has strong relations with most countries so war against India is unlikely.

I'll definitely fight for the US if India tries to act cocky and provoke China or other south asian countries. India does have a tendency to play the victim card with China. If they continue doing that honestly I have no problem fighting for the US.

My father forced to fight against the Turks, in Cyprus. He didn't join close combat though. He is Turk.

My grandfather stabbed by a Greek, he died. Because he was Turk.

During Second World War, Orthodox gangs attacked Pomak villages and demanded goods and girls. My maternal grandmother's sister be raped and her husband died while trying to protect his family. Because they were muslim.

I wanted to go Greek schools when i was 7~8. I wanted to learn Greek language and get a proper education. I went too. After 2~3 months, i was threatened(2-3 times), after that they hit me. I hit too. Greek teacher slapped me in front of whole class, but the students who hit me were laughing. After i went to turkish minority schools which is education level is really low.

My father lived 3 years in Turkey, between 2000-2003. With his passport, visa and everything is okay. He made his border crossing check-out regularly. When he returned Greece, they took his passport and he was no longer Greek citizen. He is still living with residence and work permit, he don't have citizenship. He was officially stateless until 2017, i got my Turkish citizenship in 2017. So he took too.

There are some other bad memories too but don't need to tell everything, they're a summary of being minority in Greece. So, i'm asking now. Who should i fight for?

I doubt that there is even a shred of thruth in your story.

Orthodox gangs attacking Pomaks in WW2 when Greece was under occupation by Germans,Bulgarians and Italians at the same time?

Teachers being allowed to hit students at schools?

Your father losing his Greek passport because he moved for 3 years to Turkey?

Don’t make me laugh, dude. Also, judging from your Greek language skills,I strongly doubt that you are what you claim you are.

Play your silly game if this helps you sleep better at night, but have in mind that not all of us buy the crap you are trying to sell on here.
