People in diaspora, who would you fight for if your country declared war on your old country?

There is no country I'd support over America in a war.

I would not fight anybody, I'm too old, past my prime. As far as support, unless I felt my country was wrong, I would support my current country.

The UK are First Allies with the US and we also defend the British Commonwealth nations of Canada, Australia, NZ, etc; the 'Five Eyes' nations. You can see videos on YT of UK/US military troops training together and our governments and intelligence agencies working closely together. I'd make exception allowances and privileges for people from the Anglosphere nations to be allowed Dual Citizenship rights because they're our allied nations.

The Anglo-Celtic nations cultures are similar and defend each other, unlike our bad relationship with the muslim nations of the Middle East.

Lol. If you prohibit dual citizenship, you'd really have to do it across the board. You can't make exceptions. And even if you did make exceptions for certain countries, it makes very little sense to do it on the basis of the "Anglosphere." We have continental European allies, as well, after all. NATO is our most important alliance, and it does not include Australia or New Zealand. Moreover, once-friendly nations can always turn into adversaries. Sad but true. Italian-American benefitted from Italy being on America's side in WWI, but quickly encountered different circumstances with Italy as an adversary in WWII. Overwhelmingly, Italian-Americans supported America over Italy in WWII.

Interesting question. In this case I'd have plenty of countries to choose from but I'd still fight for the US, I believe in this country. The only exception to that is if we became some sort of genocidal tyranny threatening one of the old countries for all the wrong reasons.

...unless my old countries (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary) were doing something particularly stupid.

I definitely support Russia vs. the USA, but for rational reasons, not necessarily Pan-Slavism...

I'm still in the old country and I wouldn't leave it permanently, naturally I'd fight for Britain first and always.

I do have multiple citizenships though, if needed, I'd fight for Spain as long as it was not fighting against CANZUK or the US.

I wouldn't fight for Brazil, not in its current state anyway.
