Ah, they didn't stay in Russia. In Russia and Kazakhstan most Germans who haven't emigrated to Germany have mixed and pretty much assimilated.

I mean there are certainly some mixed individuals out there(you dont even have to look at genetics for that) but i dont think mixing was that prevalent.

My volga german mom(born in the late 70s in Krasnojarsk) gets 5,9 % eastern european in 23andme and 0% in myheritage. Shes pretty close to the West_German averages.
