At Least 6 Wounded in Clashes Between Greeks, Albanians Near Athens
Greek police say at least six people were wounded in clashes that broke out early on Monday between gangs of Greeks and Albanians in Gerakas, east of Athens.
The injured, three Greeks and three Albanian nationals, were transferred to hospitals for treatment. A Greek national had a gunshot wound in the neck and two Albanians sustained knife injuries.
A firearm found at the scene of the brawl was being examined by the police.
Police sources say that the brawl was related to drug trafficking. It is not thought to be related to the killing of Konstantinos Katsifas in northern Epirus’ village of Burat (Vouliarates) on Sunday.
