And why you are aware of native macedonians and not about your aromanian cousins in here?

We have many of them here.....

So, you are making a question that can only be answered by DNA tests, that you don't have.

Even with dna tests and kits the results would not be accurate, since these people both Greek Macedonians and Slavomacedonians have slavic admixture and the majority of them also have assilimated vlachs, sarakatsanis and even albos(illyro-thracians etc).

    The answer is obvious.
All Northern Greeks are more closely related to the ethnic Macedonians than Pontians...
The Greek Macedonians are clustering with ethnic Macedonians from South of Rep.of Macedonia.
Both populations share large percentage of IBD matches.
One should look at the top matches of both people to see what I am talking about.
In the Ottoman empire people didn't mix much outside of their own kaza, that's why all my top Macedonian matches come from the same region I am from while not so many with people from other parts of Macedonia.
After the Macedonians, my top matches(the ones with longest blocks) are surprisingly (not very nice surprise but obviously we share a lot of ancestry) the Greeks.
Surnames like Koutikidis(26 cM), Nektarios, Hita(21 cM), Dimitrakis, Demas, Trivilis etc.
I've contacted some of those and one group is Epirotan, related through my paternal side while the first (one is Anatolian) two are probably related through my maternal (partial trachian) side.
The next longest match is a Bulgarian woman with who I share 21cM long block.

I dont know how you define "slavic macedonian". The populations that inhabit most of FYROM and a part of western Bulgaria are all mixed with whatever race you want to imagine, you can see very tainted skin in areas as well. Alot of today's population of FYROM are just slavophone Greeks who got kicked out of Greece for their political ideologies. Other than those "aegean macedonians", there really is no clear racial identity in many areas of FYROM. We can clearly state that non-armenoid Pontians are more related to ancient Macedonians, as they are colonists from mainland Greece themselves. The racial and linguistic "salad" named Slavic Macedonians are not really related.

Macedonia and many parts of the balkans were abandoned, burnt and completely destroyed during the medieval period. The Roman empire resettled big parts of modern Greece with Greeks from asia minor, same reason why Athens and the area near it was settled by Arvanites-because it was empty. Just a reminder that the Balkans do not quite resemble their ancient self.

Stop Dude with your bullshit nonsense.

Phenotypes have nothing to do with genetics. And armenoids can be found in Aegean islands and crete.

Pontians have nothing to do with balkaners and people who lived thousand of years ago in the region of Modern Greek Macedonia and the Fyrom state.
