Default PCA plot of European populations - both modern and samples (based on Global 25 coordinates)

There is one great and colorful PCA plot that contains both modern and ancient populations on one plot that I want to share with you.

Greyed out are ancient populations, modern populations are colored.

This PCA was originally created by one of the anthrogenica forum users - ph2ter. I hope he doesn't mind me using his work here.

    Some quick observations:
    1. Upper left - Neolithic populations
    2. Upper right or simply right - European HG populations
    3. Bottom - East-Asian populations
    4. There is a European cline, it is interesting to notice that Balts are kinda escaping off the cline toward the HG populations of Europe (greyed out)

You need to zoom in to see the details. There was a slightly better version in terms of resolution of the image but it should be good enough:

Yes. I think this is the best plot for Eurasia only ever with both ancient and modern populations.

These almost seem to be the same people despite the samples being from different countries. Who are they exactly? Neolithic farmers?

    Yes. _N suffix means neolithic.
