Here I have to agree with the Buddhist teachings, which says that (reading a book, copying and pasting it) i.e. that intellectual knowledge, data, (even if we understand it) is not enough. One needs to have a personal experience of the stated for realization of it to dawn.

yep, this is why Jesus says unless you are born of the Spirit (supernatural work) you cannot enter heaven/be Christian. That's why we have all these calvie theologians with phd's in calvinism with their ridiculous theories on God
(calvie god purposely creates most of humanity with the sole intention of torturing them in hell for all eternity just cause he can) because it's all head knowledge and philosophy and nothing spiritual. The practice/your life is proof of your internal transformation if you are Christian.
