Default Discover Your Greek Roots by Typing Your Surname

A search engine is promising to identify the region of Greece one may come from by simply typing one’s surname.

Once the name is typed in Greek, a map of the country appears with the regions that the particular name is prevalent.

We tried Papadopoulos, a very common Greek surname and here are the results:

Another example we tried is Christakis

I am like 3 percent Greek and my ancestor surname (Demetros) peak is Euboea/Central Greece, that is what Lavrenitis told me using that search engine

Btw are Euboeans genetically more Central Greek or Aegan Islander ? Curious

The Albanians, these tigers of mountain wars ... have as their religion rebellion. Even their worst warrior is one of the strongest and bravest on the battle-field, just as if he was a knight on the legendary horse. But he has no horse, nor proper weapons for battle. Instead of the horse, he has a lance which strikes as lightning, he has spears who's points are full of posion as the sting of hornets, he has also a wooden bow with some arrows. Furthermore, he is stronger than iron ...
