Who looks more alike: White South Africans and White Cubans or Black South Africans and Black Cubans

This is an interesting question, since South Africa is the whitest country in Africa and Cuba is the whitest country in the Caribbean. Therefore, do their respective White or Black populations look more alike?

Depends on what you mean by "White Cubans" as many identify as White but are probably only 75 percent European or something. I'd say a 100 percent White Cuban would look more alike to a White SA. What percentage of Black South Africans are Khoisan as opposed to Bantu settlers? The former group are very distinguishable from Black Cubans.

Some White Cubans may be substantially mixed, but not most. Do the Castros, the Estefans or Andy Garcia look mixed-race to you? As for Khoisans, some can resemble Black people in Cuba and other Latin American countries who have some Amerindian ancestry, so there is a link there.

In the 2012 Census 64.1% or 7,160,399 self-identified as white.[16] Based on genetic testing the average European, African and Native American ancestry found in those self-reporting to be “blanco (White)” 86% were fully "European", 6.7% had some "African" ancestry and 7.8% had "Native" or Other Ancestry.[

Based on that then I'd guess that Black South Africans and Cubans are closer.

Yeah, it's a stupid myth that White Latin Americans, whether in Cuba or anywhere else, are fake Whites like George Zimmerman.

That's funny - I thought many if not most Black Cubans would be like Celia Cruz or Jon Secada, who are both clearly part-Euro.
