There may be a lot of Assyrians from the Hakkari/Urmian tribes but their group is not that large to draw conclusions on the whole Assyrian population. I don't have very extensive experience with variations of Hakkari Assyrians but just a basic observation would be the lower incidence of light eyes and hair colour when compared as a collective to other Assyrian groups. Nineveh Plains Assyrians may have a fair bit of variation, but I have not come across a significant amount of individuals who are "Iraqi Arab" or "Slavic" looking lmao.

This is why there is so much arguing and disagreement here about this term "white".... You forget we are on an English speaking, British forum, "white" is an english word we are not using "blanca"... so we have to see things from an Anglo perspective..ok?
I think you take this word in a literal sense because English is not your first language.whereas in Anglo countries it has a certain connotation to it.
You don't live in an Anglo country so you'll never understand how it is used socially.
On government census, I obviously check "white-other" but you really think anglos or nordics will see you as white? Isn't spaniard enough for you?

That's like asking why are Swedes and the Irish the lightest Europeans?
Well, Kurds and Assyrians are the most northern shifted in West Asia, so it would make sense why we're the "lightest" in general, or at least compared to Jordanians, Egyptians, Saudis, Palestinians, etc.
