I stumbled across this forum by accident and am obviously new. So hello. I’m very interested in genealogy and learning about my heritage. I’m hoping to learn more about my ethnicity from people who are more informed than I am. I have been clumsily tracing my family tree for over a decade now and have completed several DNA testing kits but I keep going in circles. I’ve used AncestryDNA, National Genographic 2.0, and Family Tree DNA. The problem with AncestryDNA and the Genographic kits (both the 2.0 kit and the one preceding it) is that the results from each kit have changed drastically and somewhat ridiculously. FTDNA is the only one that seems to fit so far. I realize this is a long introduction and somewhat dreary so I do apologize! I’m basically asking for help and information regarding haplotypes, autosomal FNA, meta-ethnicity and so on. Any help and information is greatly appreciated! Thank you

Welcome to TA! if I may ask, what is the West Middle Eastern part of your ancestry?

That's always been a mystery to me. Hence why I’ve purchased at least six ancestry kits to attempt to find an answer. The country that seems to be most repetitive and prominent in my DNA results is Egypt. But I can’t say it’s for certain. I’ve been asked three times if I was Lebanese and once if I was Iranian. Completely different regions of the Middle East. I’m very confused
